Welcome to the Madison County Amateur Radio Club website.  A mission of the club is to promote amateur radio by way of educational programming and activities.  MCARC is an affiliated club with the ARRL.  Membership in the club is open to all licensed amateur radio operators whether they belong to the ARRL or not.  MCARC also provides the KE8RV Memorial Repeater (147.285 MHz) as an open repeater.  It's located in London, Ohio with three additional remote receive sites throughout the county.

Pot Luck Dinner

The next MCARC Monthly Meeting, normally on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, is now scheduled for Saturday, February 13th,  at 6 PM at the Plain City Firehouse.  Instead of the regular meeting,  we will be hosting a pot-luck dinner for all members and guests.  The Club will be providing the meat and table service, so plan on bringing a side dish or desert, and your own beverages.
Doris LeFavour - WB8KDY is coordinating the event, so email Doris at modelh@juno.com and tell her what you are planning on bringing, and how many will be attending.

Severe Weather Spotter Training

The National Weather Service, Madison County EMA and the Madison County Amateur Radio Club are hosting a Severe Weather Spotter Training at the Emergency Management office, located at 271 Elm Street in London. This training will be held on Thursday, February 18th, 2010, at 6:30 p.m. Participants will learn their role as a weather spotter as well as, important safety information, how to identify warning signs of severe weather and where to report information on severe weather. The training is FREE!

The next monthly club breakfast will be on Saturday morning February 27th, 9 AM, at the Der Dutchman Restaurant in Plain City.  Complete details will be on the Club Events page.

The club 2 meter Get Together Net is held each Tuesday evening at 8 PM on the 147.285 repeater.
