FISTS CW CLUB

The Madison County ARC is now a participating member of the FISTS CW Club.  The FISTS CW Club is an organization for the preservation of ham radio's beginning - Morse code.  It is an organization that continues to promote the usefulness and fun of CW.  In this country we face antenna restrictions from governmental agencies and Home Owners Associations.  From this dilemma has arisen the "stealth" antenna designs that work well with CW - especially QRP.  The Contest Section of this page lists the FISTS contests.  The club will now be able to compete against other FISTS clubs.  Participants do not have to be a member of FISTS.  The current MCARC members belonging to FISTS as individuals are:
  • Don Perkins - AB8EL
  • Reuben Fetterhoff - WY8C
  • John Gaynard - K8WDN
  • Jason Hissong - N8XE
  • Bob Lewis - N8GU
Stay tuned to this column for further announcements for our club participation in a FISTS contest.
